PDF terrorists abduct faculty members of Dawei Technological University

Terrorists, operating under the name of the People’s Defence Force, forcibly entered Dawei Technological University and captured three faculty members, including Pro-rector Dr Kyaw Aung, yesterday.
Following the initial attack by the terrorists on security forces 100 metres south of Payarmel Village in Dawei Township, Taninthayi Region, the security forces responded, causing the terrorists to retreat.
Terrorists managed to flee to a location south of the village. Subsequently, they abducted faculty members from the university.
Currently, security forces are engaged in rescue operations to retrieve the captured faculty members safely.
Security forces have pledged to take effective action against the terrorists under anti-terrorism laws and other relevant statutes, as their actions violate international conventions, including the Geneva Convention. — MNA/NT
