The underground water tank, with a capacity of 200,000 gallons, measures 80 feet in length, 40 feet in width, and 11 feet in depth. The water pumping station is 40 feet long and 18 feet wide and utilises four 30 HP (22 kW) pumps.
Once the construction of the underground water tank and the roof slab of the water pumping station is finished, grass will be planted on it to enhance the landscape.
Moreover, the underground water will be collected and stored for use during the upcoming Myanmar traditional water festival (Thingyan), as well as for public events held at the People’s Square and People’s Park. — TWA/TKO
