Pilgrims flock to Maravijaya Buddha Image in Tazaungdine

The Maravijaya Buddha Image, the tallest of its kind in the world ally and situated within Nay Pyi Taw’s Buddha Park, is drawing crowds of pilgrims from nationwide during the Tazaungdine lighting festival that started yesterday evening.
Relevant officials conducted security inspections and transported the monks, people with disabilities and elderly people who had difficulty walking by small vehicles so that they could pay obeisance comfortably.
Pilgrims across the nation offered 9,000 oil lights to the Maravijaya Buddha Image, as well as recitation of Maha Pathana Pali verses and the religious Wut associations recited religious verses. — Myo Hset Thit/MKKS
