SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla attend Kathina robe-offering ceremony at Maravijaya Monastery

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla joined the Kathina robe-offering ceremony at Maravijaya Monastery in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Image in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday morning.
The Senior General and congregation viewed Kathina robes, alms and structures decorated with currency notes to be donated to Maravijaya Monastery.
The Senior General and wife offered Kathina robes and alms to Presiding Patron of Paukmyaing Monastery from Lewe Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Janinda and Abbot of Maravijaya Monastery Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Neminda respectively.
The SAC Secretary, the Joint Secretary and his wife, Council members and their wives, senior military officers and their wives donated Kathina robes and alms to members of the Sangha.
The Senior General, his wife and the congregation offered day meals to members of the Sangha led by Paukmyaing Sayadaw.
The ceremony was also attended by Union ministers, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, senior military officers and their wives, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and officials. — MNA/TTA
