Plans are underway to build more staff housings in Hpa-an

The Department of Urban and Housing Development plans to continue the implementation of housing projects in various parts of Kayin State depending on the allotment of lands and funds, according to the report on the opening ceremony of a staff housing in Hlakamyin Kwatthit in Hpa-an yesterday morning.
The Department has so far built 78 staff housing buildings formed with 510 apartments with the state funding in order to improve the living conditions of the staff working in the state.
At the opening ceremony, Chief Minister of Kayin State U Saw Myint Oo addressed the ceremony, and officials cut the ribbon to open the housing, which was built with over K 331.3 million from the state fund. This RC type 4-storey building was constructed by Aung Myin Khaing Khant Co., Ltd.
Afterward, the Chief Minister and party inspected the construction site of the Kayin State Department of Urban and Housing Development which is being built with K 267.3 million from the state fund for 2021-2022 financial year. Officials from Aung Myin Khaing Khant Co., Ltd explained the construction works and the Chief Minister instructed officials to work for timely completion in accordance with the set standards.
The Chief Minister also viewed round the placement of staff and situation of adequate lighting and water in 50 low-cost housing buildings, the development of real estate development on 928.93 acres of land in Taungkalay village, the construction of Sasana Weisi Dhamma Beikman at the food of Kya-Inn mountain in Hpa-an, and gave necessary instructions.
During the tour, the Chief Minister and party also visited Zwegapin Hill Sayadaw presiding at the place where the Mahawthada School and offered cash to the fund.—Saw Myo Min Thein (IPRD)/GNLM
