Union Industry Minister Dr Charlie Than addresses the 2/2023-2024 coordination meeting of the Machinery Supervisory Committee in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection under the Ministry of Industry has started issuing temporary registrations to entrepreneurs of micro, small, and medium -sized enterprises (MSMEs) and is working to operate online registration and electronic payment systems.
Registration certificates for MSME entrepreneurs will be issued as per the business size criteria under the MSME Law after redrafting the law.
In addition, plans are also underway for the application of MSME registration certificates through online registration and e-payment systems through the MSME Web portal.
The information will be redistributed to the entrepreneurs upon completion, and by the time the law is drafted, MSME entrepreneurs will need to register according to the requirements.
It is also known that efforts are being made by the DISI to enact the Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Law.
During the operation, a temporary registration certificate for MSMEs will be issued if they apply for a new SME member card through the MSME Online Registration system. — ASH/CT
