Preparedness measures underway in various states, regions

Combined teams of the Myanmar Police Force, the General Administration Department, and Fire Services Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs are accelerating their preparedness activities for relief, rescue and first-aid operations in various states and regions in the event of Cyclone Mocha.
Preparedness activities such as rehearsal exercises are being conducted in Haka township of Chin State, Launglon and Myeik townships of Taninthayi Region, Nyaunglebin, Toungoo and Bago townships in Bago Region, Mindon township in Magway Region, Kyaikmaraw, Paung, Bilin and Mudon townships in Mon State, Kyauktaw, Gwa, Sittway, Taungup, Ponnagyun, Pauktaw, Minbya, Manaung, Myebon, Rathedaung, Yanbye, Thandwe and An townships in Rakhine State, Mawlamyinekyun, Myanaung, Yekyi, and Labutta townships in Ayeyawady Region.
People are informed and notified of well-preparedness measures against any possible incoming storm. — MNA/TS
