Process of modern park with health support equipment underway under Bayintnaung bridge

Under the supervision of the Yangon Regional Government, the Parks and Playgrounds Department of the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) is processing to develop the vacant land under the Bridges No 1 and 2 of Bayintnaung into a modern park with health support equipment.
Previously, the beauty of the city and the charm of the two bridges were affected due to encroaching tents, but at the time being construction works are being implemented quickly so that the public and tourists can rest and relax.
There are also plans to continue building near the Hlaing River near the park so that people can breathe fresh air and enjoy the sunrise and sunset freely.
The Yangon region government is working to use manpower and machinery for land reclamation and greening works in the area. Also, the long drainage ditches in the east, left and right sides of Bayintnaung Park will be built with brick drains that can be used in three seasons, summer, rain, and winter, to improve the flow of water.
In addition, the Department of Parks and Playgrounds under Bayintnaung Bridge in Hlinethaya (East) 4 Ward is planting duck grass and star-flower trees during the construction of the park, and Interlock roads are being laid around the park, and the Nyaungchaung and Shanchaung sluicegates which flows into the Hlaing River on the side of the park, are also working to improve the water flow.
In order to do physical sports for people, sports fields will be built in the vacant land under the bridge, and the bridge pillars will be painted and light poles will be erected to enhance the beauty of the park land. — TWA/TKO
