The Regional Seminar on Best Practices for Promoting Inclusive and Sustainable Investment in Lancang—Mekong countries in progress yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw, attended by Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw.

The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations held the ‘Regional Seminar on Best Practices for Promoting Inclusive and Sustainable Investment in Mekong-Lancang Countries’ through the hybrid system at the Grand Amara Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Union Minister of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw, People’s Republic of China Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai, Chair of Mekong-Lancang Coordination and Supervisory Body, Director-General Daw Marlar Than Htike of the International Organizations and Economic Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave opening speeches. Heads of investment promotion agencies in Mekong-Lancang member countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Viet Nam made introductions online.
After the opening ceremony, the discussion continued with the participation of international and local experts. A total of 13 representatives from Mekong-Lancang member countries joined the discussion online.
Deputy Minister Dr Wah Wah Maung, permanent secretaries of the relevant ministries, the directors-general, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar Mr Mongkol Visitstump, officials, representatives from the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, representatives from the embassies of the Mekong-Lancang member countries in Myanmar, representatives from investment promotion agencies and relevant departments in Mekong-Lancang member countries and businessmen from the private sector attended the ceremony. — MNA/KZW
