Roads around Yangon Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Pandal to be closed temporarily during Thingyan

Roads around Yangon Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Pandal will be temporarily closed during Thingyan, announced by Yangon Region Government.

During Myanmar Thingyan Festival which is going to celebrate from 13 April to 16 April 2024, along with water splashing, Thingyan traditional yein dance will entertain at the Yangon Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Pandal located at the front of Yangon City Hall.

From Sule Pagoda Road to Pansodan Road, the part of Mahabandula Road which will be closed temporarily during Thingyan.

During the water festival, Mahabandula Road will be closed from Sule Pagoda Road to Pandsodan Road and Sule Pagoda Road will be closed from Anawrahta Road to Merchant Road, from 7:00am to 6:00pm, therefore, traffics need to use other roads during the time, the regional government has announced,
