The Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon has announced that Myanmar nationals and foreigners who wish to seek legalization services at the embassy must make advance online reservation at its website from 14 May.

The announcement also describes the procedures for the legalization services for documents that include those issued by the Myanmar government or authorities, such as household registration certificates, copies of Myanmar National Registration Card (NRC), copies of Myanmar passports or other government related documents.

These documents need to be translated into English and endorsed by the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) before being submitted to the Embassy. The Embassy will only authenticate the signature of the MOFA official and will not be responsible for the content of the translation.

As the number of reservation slots for each working day is limited and it is on a one reservation – one person basis, the embassy advises clients seeking the service to carefully consider the appointment date before making the reservation and avoid cancellation later.

Myanmar nationals and foreigners wishing to apply for Thai visas can still access https://thaiconsularyangon.com/visa/ to make reservation as usual, it said.

Applicants are advised to check the above website for detailed information such as required documents and service fees.
