Russian Orthodox Church to be built marking 75th Anniversary of Myanmar-Russia diplomatic ties

Discussions between Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay and the Russian Orthodox Christian Bishop for Southeast Asia underway on 19 October.

A Russian Orthodox Christian Church will be built in Dagon Myothit (North) Township marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Russia and Myanmar, according to Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC).
The Russian Orthodox Christian Church will be built on 1.25 acres of land in Ward 34 extension of Dagon Myothit (North) Township and the construction will be cooperated by the YCDC Engineering Department (Buildings).
Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay and a team led by the Russian Orthodox Christian Bishop for Southeast Asia discussed the construction process of the Church on 19 October. — ASH/MKKS
