SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing offers congratulatory message to 16th recipient Sayadaw of Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title

On behalf of SAC Chair PM Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, the Yangon Region chief minister seen conferring the congratulatory message.

A ceremony to offer a congratulatory message of State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing to 16th recipient Sayadaw of Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title in 76th Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida selection examination was held at Mingun Tipitaka Nikaya Monastery in Yangon yesterday.
First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Aye Tun and regional ministers inaugurated the event by reciting Namo Tassa three times. Then, the Yangon Region chief minister read the congratulatory message of State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.
In his message, the Senior General expressed his aspiration to emerge as Tipitakadhara and Tipitakakovida title recipient monks in the Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida examination. Now, he is pleased for the emergence of a monk who has completed the 76th examination as the 16th Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title recipient Sayadaw after answering Tri Pitaka treatises comprising five Vinaya treatises, three Suttanta treatises and seven Abhidhamma treatises in the set period.
Then, the chief minister offered the congratulatory message to Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title recipient Sayadaw Bhaddanta Paññasiri Lankara.
Next, the chief minister and party donated offertories and alms to the Sayadaw.
The Sayadaw recited Sabbiti Yawvi Vizzannu Gatha and concluded the event with a three-time recitation of Buddha Sasanam Ciram Titthatu. — MNA/KTZH
