SAC member attends kick-off ceremony for golf tourney marking 76th Shan State Day

The opening ceremony of the golf tournament is in progress yesterday in Taunggyi.

An opening event of the golf tournament commemorating the 76th Shan State Day in 2023 was held in Taunggyi at 7 am yesterday.
Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye expressed in his opening remarks that the golf tournament was held with the objectives of ensuring Myanmar’s golf standards were raised, building up friendship among golfers, developing golf in Shan State in coordination with the Myanmar Golf Federation and play golf in line with rules and regulations.
Then, SAC member Dr Kyaw Tun, the Shan state chief minister and officials opened the golf competition. They also greeted competing golf teams cordially and watched the opening day of the competition.
In the evening, SAC member Dr Kyaw Tun attended the 15th Myanmar traditional Htamane competition led by the Shan State government at Awayya Konethaya hot air balloon field in Taunggyi.
The SAC member, the state chief minister, the chief justice of the state high court, the deputy commander of Eastern Command and the state minister for social affairs ceremonially opened the event.
A total of 101 teams from wards in Taunggyi, Ayethaya, and Shwenyaung, districts and townships in Shan State and departments took part in the Htamane competition. — MNA/TS/KZW
