SAC member attends U Thant Library opening ceremony

SAC Member Mahn Nyein Maung provides the green manure to broadcast them in 11 acres in Zeephyu village, Pantanaw Township, yesterday.

State Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung, accompanied by Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and relevant officials, participated in the 2024-2025 handover ceremony and planting of green manure (Crotalaria juncea) in 11 acres in Zeephyu village of Pantanaw township of Maubin district yesterday.
The SAC member cordially met farmers and instructed them on the necessary things regarding plantation and fertilizer use.
The SAC member and party attended the opening ceremony of the U Thant Library and Museum beside Yangon-Pathein Road in Pantanaw Township.
After the opening ceremony, the SAC member and regional chief minister highlighted the measures to develop the libraries and raise the reading rate and the need to repair the damaged libraries out of 323 in the region.
Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint then stressed the efforts of the Head of the State for the youths, the emergence of libraries across the nation and raising the reading rate. Then, officials accepted books, cash and DTH receivers and Top Box sets donated by well-wishers. — MNA/KTZH
