SAC Member DPM MoTC Union Minister presides over coordination meetings on recovery measures for Mocha-hit livestock and marine industries, rehabilitation processes in Rakhine State

State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San, accompanied by Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Dr Thet Thet Khine, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, Deputy Ministers and relevant officials attended the coordination meeting on recovery measures for Mocha-hit livestock and marine industries held at Rakhine State government office yesterday.
First, the Deputy Prime Minister talked about the vision of meeting, meeting attendance of senior military officers assigned in storm-affected areas online and plans to provide techniques to revive the Mocha-hit agriculture, livestock and marine industries.
He then called on the departmental officials and business people to cooperate for food security in storm-affected areas by drafting long and short-term plans.
Afterwards, the business people reported on the losses in livestock and marine industries after Mocha and the assistance they want.
The Union ministers, the Rakhine State chief minister, deputy ministers and officials stressed the need to submit the inventory of losses and procedures to be conducted.
After the presentation, the Deputy Prime Minister said that business people should try hard for their losses as much as they can while the government provides the needed assistance. The damaged boats and fishing materials will be repaired and it will also provide the needed materials.
At noon, Admiral Tin Aung San and party inspected the Mocha-hit Rakhine State Hluttaw meeting hall, guesthouse and staff housing and made proper instructions.
Then, they attended the coordination meeting on rehabilitation processes held at the Rakhine State government office and offered directives. — MNA/KTZH
