SAC members meet Chin State Government, officials in Haka

SAC members MoD Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo and U Moung Har meet cabinet members of the Chin state government and department officials in Haka on 21 February.

Members of the State Administration Council Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo and U Moung Har met cabinet members of the Chin state government and the state-level, district-level and township-level departmental officials on 20 February.
At the meeting, Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo said it has been over one year that the State Administration Council has taken the responsibility of the State, adding that it is performing its duty under the State Constitution (2008) with the five-point roadmap and nine objectives for the stability and development of the State.
He acknowledged and encouraged that civil servants are fulfilling their duties with individual spirit in such a time, calling for unity for the development and interests of the nation. Afterwards, U Moung Har addressed the meeting.
Chin State Chief Minister U Ngun Sann Aung, State Natural Resources Minister U Kyaw Nyein and officials explained the regional facts of Chin State, implementations for regional development, construction and maintenance of roads and bridges, citizenship scrutiny card issuance to local ethnic people through the Pankhinn project, agricultural activities, and requirements for electricity, education and healthcare.
Upon the presentation, the SAC member Union minister said the Head of State has instructed officials to carry out development activities for the agriculture and livestock sector as seventy per cent of the country’s population lives in rural areas and is engaged in agriculture.
He said it is necessary to expand the acreage, use good quality seeds, improve agricultural land and access to water, and cultivate with good methods. In order to increase local income, it is necessary to produce more avocados, oranges and coffee, he said.
The Union minister instructed them to make effort to do cattle rearing by cage system and to do more livestock farming for local food security and coordinated as required. —MNA
