SAC Vice-Chair DPM Vice-Senior General Soe Win discusses holding Myanmar Education Conference 2023

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win addressed the second coordination meeting of the Steering Committee to hold the Myanmar Education Conference 2023 and Work Committee held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
In his opening speech, the Vice-Senior General said it is the second coordination meeting to hold the conference and implement the objectives of the conference. The first meeting was held on 25 April and in this second meeting, it will discuss the matters to be decided and the progress of works for the success of the conference.
The Education Conference to be held is the first one at the time of the SAC and it is also a conference that will be jointly organized by 11 ministries related to education.
At the conference, a paper reading session intending to produce human resources and development of future academic fields in a timely manner and holding seminars will be conducted.
Based on the outcomes of the seminars, the education-related issues will be resolved.
The successive governments adopted plans for education promotion and human resource development. It implemented Special Four-Year Plan for Education (2000-2001 FY to 2003-2004 FY) and Thirty-Year Long-Term Education Promotion Plan (2001-2002 FY to 2030-2031 FY) under six five-year plans.
From 2003 to 2009, the conferences were held in rotation in the Yangon Diamond Jubilee Hall, Yezin Agriculture University, University of Veterinary Science, Taunggyi University and Mawlamyine University.
This conference will be organized not only by the Ministry of Education but also by State Administration Council members who attended the conference together with 11 related ministries, Union-level personnel and scholars will work together.
He also called for cooperation in all sectors for the successful holding of the conference.
Then, Working Committee Chairman Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe reported on the arrangements for the successful holding of the Education Conference.
Afterwards, officials of relevant subcommittees reported on the work progress to hold Myanmar Education Conference 2023 and coordinated the discussion.
