Health officials gave Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines to above 12-year-old students at basic education high schools in Taungup Township, Thandwe District, Rakhine State yesterday.
The COVID-19 vaccine, which is being introduced in primary schools, is a Sinovac vaccine manufactured in the People’s Republic of China.
A total of 9,353 schoolchildren from 34 basic educations primary school and one high school have been vaccinated against the COVID-19.
The COVID-19 vaccine was given to a total of 278 students from middle school and high school at Kyaw Kaing High School. —San Win (Taungup IPRD)/GNLM
