Security Forces Rescue Kalay University Education Staff and Students from PDF Terrorists

On 26 January, some 130 PDF terrorists arrived at Kalay University and abducted faculty members, students and staff in it. Acting on the tip off, security personnel arrived at the scene to save the victims’ lives and fought the terrorists. Later, terrorists retreated in disorder.
Despite the military columns have rescued 285 faculty members, education staff and students in time, PDF terrorists abducted some of the educational staff and students (under identification) as hostages.
Dead bodies of some terrorists, weapons and related materials were seized. Terrorists’ intentional attack on non military targets of educational structure, non
combatants of education staff, their family members, students and office staff is a destructive attack against national education sector (i.e. the State’s future). Therefore, such violent acts constitute war crimes under the provisions prescribed in the Geneva Conventions and international law.
Harsh legal actions will be taken against them under the counter terrorism law and the penal code and existing laws. Security forces are making every endeavor with might and main to save the remaining victims (under identification) including education staff and students as early as possible, it is reported.
