Both sides were eager to win, but the match ended in a goalless draw.
Shan United will face Macarthur FC of Australia in the first match of the AFC Cup group stage on 21 September. In turn, the Myanmar U-23 team is taking training with 25 preliminary players for the 2024 Asian Cup U-23 qualifiers to be played in September.
The team has been reorganizing since 23 August after the 2023 ASEAN U-23 tournament. U Aung Naing is handling it as the interim head coach as German head coach Michael Feichtenbeiner will also supervise the U-23 team. — KZL
