According to the Ministry of Planning and Finance, retired individuals can conveniently withdraw their pensions at bank branches operating the Centralized e-Pension system without any service charge.
The Centralized e-Pension system is available in 67 branches of the bank in the current financial year. This allows retired employees to withdraw their pensions easily and smoothly, free of charge, at branches equipped with the Centralized e-Pension system. Union Minister U Win Shein expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the efforts of the bank employees during the Myanma Economic Bank’s coordination meeting on year-end closing of annual accounts for the 2023-2024 financial year, held on 19 February. The Union Minister also urged all bank employees to collaborate to achieve the targets set for the next financial year 2024-2025. This should be based on the actual conditions of the current bank operations in the 2023-2024 financial year. — TWA/TKO
