State Administration Council Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win has called for advancing preparation work for the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day, with greater perfection as the commemorative day draws near.
As the Chairman of the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day Organizing Central Committee, the Vice-Senior General addressed the second coordination meeting of the committee yesterday.
The Vice-Senior General said that the Prime Minister approved the ceremonial programmes such as invitations, poster erection, flag-hoisting ceremony, message reading session and dinner.
He then added that it should discuss matters related to holding sports competitions and the Youth and Literary Arts Festival.
All should conduct the preparation work for the ceremony with greater perfection and must provide detailed security measures for each person, region, and event in addition to the existing security plan.
Officials of the relevant subcommittees reported on the progress of preparations for the ceremony. — MNA/KTZH
