People wait for purified water distributed by Department of Rural Development.

The Department of Rural Development, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, conducts a pre-enrollment of the villages that have the potential to have shortages of drinking water during the summer, establishes communication links directly with the villages, and arranges plans to quickly provide drinking water. The www.water-donation.com website has been published in order to respond immediately if water shortages occur in the summer.
To promptly address potential water shortages, the Rural Development Department of relevant townships has already published contact phone numbers for respective villages. In case of water scarcity, villagers can communicate through various channels such as phone calls, Facebook, Viber, and Messenger.
In addition, visiting the www.water-donation.com website or sending messages through the Water-Donation Mobile Application that can be used on mobile phones is available.
The Water-Donation Mobile Application can be easily accessed and used on the above website, and if water shortages occur in the villages, please inform to the Regional/State, District, Township Rural Development Departments and the Rural Development Department (Head Office) including the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, the Union Territory. — GNLM/TKO
