Suspects arrested with firearms as they launch bomb attacks in Dagon Myothit (North) Township

The security forces raided the “Ko Ko Nyi Nyi” grilled fish shop in No (29) Ward of Dagon Myothit (North) Township on 13 August. They arrested four suspects Soe Aung, Pyae Sone Aung and Hein Min Min Htet, including Nay Lin, together with pistol, magazine bullets and homemade mines.
According to the confession of Nay Lin, the police also seized 8 homemade air guns, 52 various homemade mines, 46 smoke bombs, 1 homemade mine and other related materials at No 126 building in No (28) ward of Dagon Myothit (North) Township.
On 14 August, the police also arrested other suspects Htet Aung Khant in No (47) Ward of Dagon Myothit (North) and Arkar Aung (aka) Arkar near No (3) B.E.H.S.
According to the words of Htet Aung Khant, he participated in transporting the gun from NUG member Chit Htwe (aka) Ei than (still at large) to Lion (still at large) who shot the administrator of Dagon Myothit (East) Township on 27 June.
The suspects admitted that they conducted five bomb attacks in the southern and northern parts of Dagon Myothit Township—one in No (47) Ward on 19 June, one in a dumpsite in No (40) Ward on 6 July, another one in No (37) Ward on 16 July, one at Maha Myaing teashop in No (35) Ward on 5 August and one at the toolbox of motorcycle in No (55) Ward on 8 August.
The suspects who conducted destructive acts to undermine the State tranquillity and the rule of law will face legal actions under the law.

Moreover, the people are requested to inform the officials about activities and hiding places of insurgents to arrest the remaining suspects: NUG member Chit Htwe (aka) Ei Than and Lion. — MNA
