The Myanmar national football team began training for the second round of World Cup qualifiers on 6 November, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation.
Team Myanmar will spend more than a week preparing for the two World Cup qualifying group matches on 16 and 21 November, and those who play in foreign clubs will be able to join the team Myanmar later.
The Myanmar national team will be made up of around 30 preliminary players, and 22 players playing in the domestic league have been selected for the preliminary roster.
Myanmar is placed in the same group as Asian powerhouse Japan, North Korea and Syria. Team Myanmar will take on Japan in an away game on 16 November, and North Korea at home on 21 November.
The Myanmar team is likely to struggle to get a good result as they meet the top teams in Asia, and the Japanese national team has won consecutive matches in recent matches.
