Tender invited for cooperation of private entrepreneurs in State-owned tyre factory

A tender has been invited for private entrepreneurs to operate the No 21 Heavy Industry (Tyre Factory – Thaton) near the Kyarban village on Thaton-Hpa-an road in Thaton Township, Mon State, under public-private partnership-PPP scheme. The deadline for submitting the tender will be 10 February.
The Thaton tyre factory was established with Czech technology and started operating in 1985, producing bias tyres with inner tubes.
According to the No 2 Heavy Industries Enterprise, the tender is being called for the production of tyres and rubber products as well as other industrial products. Interested domestic investors can submit tender forms to Office No 41 of the No 2 Heavy Industries Enterprise, Nay Pyi Taw, not later than 10 February. — TWA/CT
