Thailand International Cooperation Agency donates lab commodities, protective equipment for Myanmar’s COVID-19 response

An official of the National Health Laboratory in Yangon is receiving the donation of Covid-related devices from the Thailand International Cooperation Agency.

The TICA (Thailand International Cooperation Agency) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs donated the medical laboratory equipment and other protective materials to Myanmar through the Thai Embassy in Myanmar for effective response to COVID-19. The materials arrived at the National Health Laboratory of Yangon via the Mae Sot-Myawady entry/exit point yesterday evening.
The donated medical equipment to NHL included Real-Time PCR, Automatic Nucleic Acid Purification Instrument, Vortex Mixer, High-Speed Centrifuge, Biological Safety Cabinet Class II- Type A2, PCR cabinet, Autoclave, Pipet Research Plus, DNA/RNA Extraction Kit, Bio indicator and PPE.
The agency once donated the COVID-19 diagnostic equipment and other lab commodities as part of the Thai-Myanmar COVID-19 response and preparedness project to NHL (Yangon) and Myawady General Hospital in March 2021.—MNA
