Total trade volume exceeds US$51 mln at Muse and Myawady borders in Jan 2nd week

The trade volume between Myanmar and China during the period from 14 to 20 January stood at US$24.312 million, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce.
$9.415 million worth of agricultural produce including rice, broken rice, corn, bean, musk melon and turmeric root was exported through the Muse border and $14.897 million of cotton fabrics, vehicles and vehicle accessories, machinery and equipment, plastic raw materials, fertilizers, iron and steel construction materials, agricultural trailers and other vehicles, and lace and knitted fabrics was imported.
In the same period, the trade value between Myanmar and Thailand registered $26.817 million. $9.021 million worth of rice, peanut, black sesame, onion, coffee beans, fish and shrimp were exported through the Myawady border trade zone and $17.796 worth of wires, motorcycles and motorcycle accessories, bicycle spare parts, petroleum products, polish paints, leather, materials made of artificial leather, plastic raw materials, iron and steel products were imported. — TWA/CT
