Tourism Body unveils plan for Ayeyawady Region development

The Myanmar Tourism Federation has unveiled a plan to develop more travel destinations in the Ayeyawady Region.
With an extensive coastline, the region hosts numerous beaches, including Chaungtha, Ngwehsaung, Ngwetaung, Shwethaungyan, Goyangyi Island, and Mawtinsun. The region’s capital, Pathein, is also one of the famous destinations for foreign and local travellers.
An official at the federation remarked, “While Goyangyi Island is already well-known locally, improving its transport infrastructure could significantly benefit its accessibility and attractiveness to foreign visitors. Additionally, Pyapon and Mainmahla Island in Bogale hold a lot of potential.”
