Township education office hit by arson attack

The Township Education Office was destroyed by a mob’s arson attack on 17 May in Paukkaung Township, Bago Region.
The incident happened at 4:25 am, and members of the security forces and fire brigade extinguished the fire. The fire destroyed the building, office furniture, papers and documents.
It is reported that the office security man and his wife found the fire after hearing the bottle crash in the back of the office while they were sleeping. Investigations are underway to identify and arrest the mob under the law. —MNA
