Armed insurgent groups attacked the security forces and their camps in firearms in some townships in Chin State on 17 May.
About 30 insurgents attacked the security force members at the combined checkpoint in Haka, and about 15 insurgents attacked the local Battalion in Haka with firearms. When the security forces fired back, they retreated to Lauklong village.
Similarly, the township police station in Myoma (2) ward in Kanpetlet was also attacked at 7:50 pm on the same day.
It is reported that no security force member was injured during the incidents. —MNA
