Two Myanmar players compete in World Snooker Championship in Qatar

Two Myanmar players are competing in the 2022 World Snooker Championships in Qatar, according to the sports authorities.
Two Myanmar snooker players are competing in the senior snooker events of the World Snooker Championships and played group matches on 6 and 7 March.
A total of 62 players are competing in the tournament, which is divided into 14 groups of four and three groups of three.
Among the Myanmar players, Aung Phyo is in Group E with Iran, United States, and Qatar players while Win Ko is in Group P with Qatar, Iran, and Indian players.
Aung Phyo defeated El Salvador (USA) by 4-3 and has also won the last two games in a row with a four-match unbeaten streak against Alo Beidi (Qatar).
Win Ko lost to Murawat (India) 3-4 in a match and has also lost two games in a row to Ali (Qatar) by 1-4.
Aung Phyo defeated Sakosha (Iran) in the last match of the group. Win Ko will face Ali (Iran) on 8 March.
The tournament will run until 11 March, followed by the Asian Billiards and Snooker Championships and the World Snooker Championships. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
