U-25 Women’s Football Tournament marks 76th Anniversary of Independence Day with successful conclusion

State Administration Council members, officials and sport fans join the final match of the Inter-Ministry U-25 Women’s Football Tournament at Nay Pyi Taw’s Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The final match plus awarding ceremony for the Inter-Ministry U-25 Women’s Football tournament, supervised by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, was held at Nay Pyi Taw’s Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday to commemorate the 76th Independence Day.
In the final match, the Ministry of Home Affairs Team beat the Ministry of Defence team 1-0 to bag the trophy.
After the final match, an awarding ceremony was held, and the State Administration Council members and officials presented medals to the best players, best goalies, best strikers, best midfielders and best defenders.
They then awarded the championship trophy to the Ministry of Home Affairs and medals and prizes to the first runners-up team, the Ministry of Defence; the second runners-up, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs; and the fourth-placed team, the Ministry of Border Affairs.
To make the employees of various ministries happy and united and have friendship, the tournament, which was participated by 150 footballers from five ministries, was held at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium and training grounds in Nay Pyi Taw from 14 to 23 December. — MNA/KZL
