UEC chairman inspects verification process for voter list

chairman of the Union Election Commission U Thein Soe accompanied by members of the Union Election Commission and officials inspected the basic census of Hmawbi Township and Mingaladon Township at the General Administration Department Training School in Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region yesterday morning.
Afterwards, he inspected the basic census work of Shwepyitha Township and Dagon Myothit (South) Township at the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre and instructed the responsible persons.
The Union Election Commission (UEC) has set up two bases at the General Administration Department Training School in Mingaladon Township and the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre in Thingangyun Township.
It is cooperating with 194 staff members from Union Election Commission, Union Territory, Bago Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Mon State and Yangon Region.
It is reported that the basic census of the remaining townships in the Yangon Region will also be checked. — MNA
