Umbrella, diamond orb, pennant-shaped vane hoisted atop SittantU Aungpweya Pagoda in Myaungmya

A ceremony to hoist an umbrella, a diamond orb and a pennant-shaped vane atop SittantU Aungpweya Pagoda was held in Kontha Village, Myaungmya Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday morning.
State Administration Council member Mahn Nyein Maung, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, government officials, and donors attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, they took the Five Precepts from the Patron Sayadaw of Zeya Maydani Buddhist Learning Centre member of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Sayadaw Bhaddanta Candavara.
Disciples and officials conveyed tiers of the umbrella, a diamond orb and a pennant-shaped vane and went round the pagoda clockwise. Then, the umbrella was hoisted atop the pagoda.—Myaunmya District IPRD/KZL
