UMFCCI holds meeting with EuroCham Myanmar

President U Aye Win of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) U Aye Win received CEO Ms Karina Ufert of the Euro Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar and members in Yangon yesterday.
The EuroCham Myanmar is formed of Europe-based companies running investments in Myanmar.
During the event, members of Eurocham Myanmar, the entrepreneurs and representatives of the logistics sector, food and commodities, farming products (seedlings), solar energy and health and medicinal sectors reported on holding awareness seminars regarding the facilitation of businesses, creation of jobs, streamlined import licence processes, effective measures against illegal trade, creation of community comply with the policies, lower the trade barriers, raw material import, payment system for border trade and registration processes for online sales.
In his response to the presentation, the UMFCCI President said the federation will submit the needed things including the challenges of respective industries to the ministries concerned and working committees to promote foreign investments and create job opportunities in the country. Moreover, it will also cooperate with the relevant ministries to organize awareness seminars to ensure the right to true information. The UMFCCI makes efforts to establish Public Private Dialogue and strategic communication between the ministry and private sectors. — Myo Min Thura/KTZH
