The third anniversary of publishing “Swemyo Pauk-Phaw Magazine” marking the 70th anniversary of Myanmar-China diplomatic ties was held in Yangon yesterday.
The event was attended by Union Auditor-General U Tin Oo, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, Myanmar Press Council Chairman U Ohn Maung (Myinmu Maung Naing Moe), Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar Dr Zheng Zhihong, officials of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central), Myanmar China Cooperation Centre, personnel of the magazine and invitees.
First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein made an opening remark and the deputy minister, the Chinese Minister Counsellor, the chairman of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central), the patron of the Myanmar China Cooperation Centre and the Swemyo Pauk-Phaw Association retired diplomat U Sein Win Aung delivered remarks.
Then, officials awarded writers including the patron and executive members of the Myanmar China Cooperation Centre and the editor-in-chief of the magazine.
