Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko inspected artifacts displayed at the National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw) yesterday.

Before the inspection, Director-General of the Department of Archaeology and National Museums reported to the Union Minister on the National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw).

Afterwards, the officials of the ministry conducted the Union Minister around the museum which has Primates and Fossils Exhibition Room, Prehistoric Period Exhibition Room, Protohistoric Period Exhibition Room, Historic Period Exhibition Room, Lion Throne Exhibition Room, Myanmar Art Gallery, Myanmar Performing Arts Exhibition Room, Arts and Crafts Exhibition Room and ASEAN Exhibition Room.

Following his tour of inspection, the Union Minister held a meeting with the staff of the museum and has called on the Department of Archaeology and National Museums to work together with the History, Research and National Library Department in conservation of findings discovered by the archaeologists.

He also called for cooperation with ethnic organizations in doing research and discovering the culture of the ethnic people.—MNA
