Union Minister U Aung Than Oo receives Ambassador of Malaysia in Nay Pyi Taw

The MoEE Union minister receives the Malaysian ambassador and party yesterday.

Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aung Than Oo received Ambassador of Malaysia to Myanmar Mr Zahairi Baharim and party yesterday morning in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they discussed the installation of the Acid Gas Removal Unit (AGRU) in the Yedagon Offshore Project, which was operated by Petronas Carigali Myanmar Limited, Malaysia, capacity development activities for the Rooftop Solar project, recruitment and training of more Myanmar staff in the company, capacity development training programmes that offer company staff postgraduate course and training at Malaysian universities, further cooperation for the electricity and energy sector between the two countries and investment opportunities.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy U Thant Sin, Permanent Secretary U Than Zaw and departmental officials, representatives from the Malaysia Embassy and officials from Petronas Carigali Myanmar Limited (PCML). — MNA
