Unverified Claims: Tatmadaw allegedly launches chemical bomb attacks in Laukkai

p4 third

It has been discovered that misinformation, falsely asserting that ten local civilians were poisoned and two children were killed due to the use of toxic chemical bombs to attack Tashwethang in Laukkai, has been circulated on online media by the malicious media DVB and the Kokang Facebook.
Contrary to these claims, the Tatmadaw did not attack Tashwethang using toxic chemical bombs. Such false information has been circulating by armed insurgents in the past, and they continue to generate and spread misinformation opportunistically.
As armed insurgents suffer significant casualties, baseless misinformation is being spread. Subversive media that supports terrorism is spreading fake news intending to discredit the military. Reports suggest that false information is being propagated on social networks. — MNA/KZW
