Uplift living standard of farmers with guarantee for farming rights

Farmers passing their daily life of farming works with hardships are benefactors for all citizens of Myanmar. They are always emphasizing cultivation, harvesting and production of various crops.
In fact, farmers are working in all three seasons without holidays. They spend their lives in endless farming works. Despite striving for the development of farming works, those farmers are under the manipulation of businesspersons in sales of their products such as paddy and crops by getting low prices.
Hence, it is necessary to protect the rights of farmers not to lose the good prices for sales of their crops and occupy the markets for agricultural products. In addition, the authorities need to enhance the benefits of farmers as part of encouraging them to invest their lives in the agricultural sector satisfactorily.
They are engaged in conventional farming works. Some of them started the transformation of farming works from manual to mechanized farming with the use of agricultural machinery in all stages. It is necessary to introduce the advantages of agricultural machinery to local farmers to increase the per-acre yield of crops.

As a result, farmers will have the chance to uplift their living standard in producing a large volume of crops with a higher per-acre yield. So, we should support the farmers who faced loss in agricultural tasks in successive eras to continuously do their works and help them uplift their living standard.

Nowadays, the State Administration Council is striving for protection of farmers’ rights and enhancement of their benefits as an encouragement to increasing the per-acre yield of crops and seeking markets for products by amending the Law for Protection of Farmers’ Rights and Enhancement for their Benefits (2013) with the aim of ensuring food sufficiency of the State, full nutrition of the citizens, more exportation of products from agricultural and livestock sectors increase of income for farmers and development of socio-economic lives. The vision of the law is for enabling farmers not to lose in farmland confiscation and protect them for the safety of farming rights.
As a result, farmers will have the chance to uplift their living standard in producing a large volume of crops with a higher per-acre yield. So, we should support the farmers who faced loss in agricultural tasks in successive eras to continuously do their works and help them uplift their living standard. It is because we firmly believe the farmers with the high living standard are sure to produce quality crops.
