Variety Show to be held at Nay Pyi Taw City Hall’s open-air theatre marking Diamond Jubilee Independence Day

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the open-air theatre of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall, where the variety show will be staged marking Diamond Jubilee Independence Day between 26 to 30 November, together with Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin and other officials yesterday.
First, the Union minister and Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman met film directors and artistes at the meeting hall of the City Hall.
Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Myint Soe, departmental heads, film directors and artistes.
Speaking at the event, the Union Minister said the variety show will be grandly organized marking the 75th anniversary of Independence Day in Nay Pyi Taw for five successive days. It is to be held not for one person or one organization but for all the people to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence Day. Therefore, it will be a successful variety show with the cooperation of departmental officials, artistes and people with mutual understanding and good intentions.
The artistes from film, music and theatrical fields and staff will perform in the variety show and it can take about four hours a day. It should be a show with unusual creations and is the first show of artistes who suspended their careers due to the outbreak of COVID-19. It should be an entertainment show for those who feel depressed or stressed during the COVID-19 period.
Then, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin expressed the needs and cooperation work to present the essence of independence and hold the variety show successfully, and the attendees coordinated the discussion. The Union minister and party also inspected the stage setting, and dressing room. — MNA
