Vice-Chairman of State Administration Council Vice-Senior General Soe Win holds talks with Deputy Defence Minister of Russian Federation, cordially meets with families of embassy, military attaché’s office

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win who is currently in the Russian Federation held a meeting with Russian Deputy Minister of Defence Colonel-General Alexander Vasilyevich Fomin at the Ministry of Defence in the afternoon of Russian Standard Time on 3 September.
Also present at the meeting together with the Vice-Senior General were Lt-Gen Aung Soe of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the military attaché and senior military officers. The Russian Deputy Minister of Defence was accompanied by officials.
They cordially exchanged views on further cooperation in the enhancement of friendly relations between Myanmar and Russia and the two armed forces, and plans of Russia to provide aid for military technology, education, health and various sectors. After the meeting, the Vice-Senior General and the Russian Deputy Minister of Defense exchanged commemorative gifts.
Moreover, the Vice-Senior General went to the Myanmar Embassy to the Russian Federation and cordially met with families of the Myanmar Embassy and the office of the Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air), urging them to give a helping hand to each other as they are serving the State duties together abroad, and ensuring loyalty to the State and own ministry as good service personnel in their respective sectors so as to further promote friendly relations between the two countries and raise the State interests.
The Vice-Senior General presented gifts and cash awards for families of the Myanmar Embassy and the office of the Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) to Ambassador U Lwin Oo and Military Attaché Commodore Kyaw Soe Moe.—MNA
