Women convicted of trafficking girl to China sentenced to 10 years

Those who trafficked a girl to China were sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to officials.
Ma San San Mu from Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region, Ma Htet Htet (alias) Nyo Pyar Aye and Ma Thida Aye (alias) Thae Thae (alias) Aye Si Toe from Chanmyathazi Township and Naing Lin Ko from Padamya Ward, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region persuaded 14-year-old Ma …, a niece of Ma San San Mu from Kinn Village, Mingun Station, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region to work as a maid or a salesgirl in a clothes shop in China to earn K120,000 a month.
But Ma … was taken to Dongguan, China, and sold to a Chinese man.
The case was filed in Mandalay District Court on 4 March and Ma Htet Htet (alias) Nyo Pyar Aye, Ma Thida Aye (alias) Thae Thae (alias) Aye Si Toe and Naing Lin Ko were sentenced to 10 years imprisonment each under Section 24 of the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons Law. — MNA
