XXXI SEA Games scheduled to be held on 12 May

The XXXI Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, which has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is scheduled to begin on 12 May 2022, according to the SEA Games organizing committee.
The tournament is scheduled to be held later this year, but has been postponed to next year due to the epidemic, and was decided to resume at mid-May 2022 according to a the SEA Games Organizing Committee’s Conference which was held last month.
According to local media reports, the Olympic Committee of Viet Nam will hold the Games from 12 to 23 May 2022, with the approval of Vietnamese government officials.
The XXXI SEA Games will feature 520 events in 40 sports, mainly those played at the Olympic Games, Vietnamese authorities added.
Myanmar plans to compete in 18 sports events and athletes are taking training at the special training camps for the SEA Games.
