Yangon Region Minister for Development Affairs Yangon City Development Committee Chairman Mayor U Bo Htay, along with Vice-Chair Deputy Mayor U Nyi Nyi, Secretary U Nyunt Pe, committee members, departmental heads, and officials, inspected the nursing of seasonal flowers, flower landscaping, decorative lights and trees, the entertainment stage, restaurants, and stalls for the Thadingyut festival in the People’s Park on Pyay Road yesterday.
The deputy mayor and party visited the Mental Health Hospital in Dagon Myothit (East) Township, where they observed flooding within the hospital compound caused by heavy rains. They also inspected the electric transformer room, where concrete flooring had recently been installed. During the visit, they observed water leaks from the hospital kitchen and coordinated with relevant departments.
They proceeded to Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township and inspected the canal that flows into the Bago River. They also investigated the issue of garbage accumulation at the Ngamoeyeik sluice gate and assessed the situation regarding the recovery and clearance of debris. — MNA/KZW
