In the second half of November, 108 construction permits were granted, and 36 building completion certificates were approved in the area under the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC).
Additionally, the applied list of 26 buildings for construction permits were sent to the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC). Five letters of recommendation for the construction of the buildings have been sent to the Fire Service Department, 17 documents to the Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation), three to the Urban Land Management Department, and one to the Engineering Department (Drainage Management).
When applying for building construction permits, landowners and licensed contractors must include the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to communicate with the Electricity Corporation for access to electricity. Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation will invite licensed contractors to a meeting this week to install electricity meters in the buildings that have obtained the Building Completion Certificate (BCC). — TWA/TKO
