23rd ASEAN Senior Level Committee Meeting on Financial Integration held

The meeting of the 23rd ASEAN Senior Level Committee – SLC on Financial Integration was held at 12:30 pm yesterday with a video conference system.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy-Governors of the Central Bank of ASEAN, Deputy-Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Daw Than Than Swe and senior officials.
First, the ASEAN + 3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) presented Global and Regional Macroeconomic Outlook and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) also presented regional financial developments.
The Deputy-Governors of the Central Bank of ASEAN exchanged views on the submissions.
Next, the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) discussed the latest developments in the ASEAN Financial Integration Process.
Then, SLC Task Force Co-chairs discussed business developments related to Sustainable Finance and ASEAN Cybersecurity Resilience and Information Sharing Platform (CRISP) activities under the ASEAN High-Level Committee on ASEAN Financial Integration (SLC) such as Regional Macroeconomic and Financial Risks.
Then, the co-chairs of the ASEAN Working Committees stated development factors of the ASEAN Working Committees: ASEAN Banking Integration Framework (ABIF), Capital Account Liberalization (CAL), Capital Market Development (CMD), Financial Inclusion (FINC), Financial Services Liberalization (FSL), Payment and Settlement Systems (PSS), and Steering Committee on Capacity Building (SCCB) respectively.
The Deputy-Governors of the Central Bank of ASEAN guided the submissions.
Next, ASEAN Bankers’ Association (ABA) updated on TF Interoperable Data Framework and the Central Bank of Myanmar, the ASEAN Swap Arrangement and rotating Agent Bank, also briefed the Updated-on ASEAN Swap Arrangement. — MNA
