52 construction permits issued in Yangon municipal area in January 2024

A total of 52 construction permits were issued municipal area of the Yangon City Development Committee during the first week of January.
In addition, 13 Building Completion Certificates (BCC) have been approved, and the list of 44 buildings that have applied for construction permits from four to 17 units has been sent to the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC).
To allow the construction of the building, endorsements have been sent to related departments, such as four to the Fire Services Department, 25 to the Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation), and five to the Urban Land Management Department. It is necessary to have a Standard Operating Procedure communicated to the Electricity Supply Enterprise by the landowners and licensed contractors for obtaining electricity when building construction permits are issued.
The licensed contractors will be invited to a meeting this week to get the BCC and install electricity meters in the buildings. The Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation will take nesponsibility for installing the electricity meters. — TWA/KZL
